Free Stuff in Vegas Today - 12/04/08
CineVegas is offering you the chance to see an advance screening of Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise and directed by Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X0Men, Superman Returns) before it hits the theaters on Dec. 26. Brenden Theatres at the Palms Casino Resort will host the advance screening on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. Free passes are available to anyone who visits the new CineVegas office at 170 S. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson on Dec. 4 or 5 between 1 pm and 5 pm. (Seating is on a first come, first served basis and is not guaranteed.)
The weekly Acoustic Strip event at the House of Blues features music by Breech, Picture Pilot, Modern Science, and Lady Reiko. Doors open at 9 pm and admission is free.
The open bar event tonight at the Rio’s McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon features Lotus Vodka cocktails, 6 pm-9 pm.

Get your holiday shopping down at the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, 10 am-5 pm.
The Cowboy Corral at the Cox Pavilion features free entertainment by Trailer Choir. Doors open at 5 pm.
The South Point Showroom hosts the Go Round Buckle presentations with entertainment by Billy Childers for the next three nights, 9:30 pm-2:30 am.
Western Underground performs at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar inside Harrah’s, 9 pm-2 am.
The Gold Coast Showroom hosts the National Finals Tonight program nightly at 10:30 pm through Dec. 13th.
Amanda Henkel and Cody McCarver share the spotlight in the Race & Sports Book at the Mirage immediately following the NFR live feed.
Flynville Train is onstage at the Silverton Entertainment Pavilion. Concert begins after the final rodeo event of the evening.
