Sure, you could spend $100+ per person for the privilege of ringing in the new year with the beautiful people. Heck, you might even catch a glimpse of the back of Fergie’s head or Usher’s entourage or Kim Kardashian’s….er…assets as she and her sisters are whisked away to the VIP area of some posh nightclub on The Strip.

But you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to enjoy New Year’s Eve in Sin City.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to celebrate there are several locations away from the strip (and a couple on it) that are offering free admission, live entertainment and the obligatory drink specials:

Aliante Station

ETA Lounge – Live DJ and champagne toast at midnight.

Charlie’s Bar (N. Jones & Lake Mead)

$300 free video poker tournament starting at 7 pm. Party favors, drink specials and giveaways. Free champagne toast at midnight.

Excalibur

Dick’s Last Resort – Party will have live music, free lap dances and midnight Jello shots.

Frankie’s Tiki Room

Complimentary Fink Bomb shots at Hawaii New Year (2 am Pacific time).

Gold Coast

Gold Coast Showroom – Live entertainment by Crush.

Lucky Club Casino

Casino floor - Giveaways, live entertainment and champagne toast at midnight.

The Orleans

Brendan’s Irish Pub – Live music by Killian’s Angels. 9 pm-1 am.

Bourbon Street Cabaret - Live music by Volume Six. 9 pm-3 am.

PT’s Pub

All area locations – Live DJ starts at 10 pm. $2 specials start at 12:01 am with nine menu items for $2. Complimentary appetizers and discounts with bottle service.
