Martin Luther King, Jr. Day offers an additional day of rest for state and federal employees but for the rest of Las Vegas it will be business as usual and another great reason to party.

The MLK, Jr. Day Parade kicks off downtown at the corner of Fourth Street and Hoover. Participants will march north on Fourth Street to Ogden Avenue at 10 am. For more information call 702-440-6400.

The Canvas Café (430 E. Silverado Ranch Blvd) will celebrate the incoming administration with a Pre-Inauguration Party at 6 pm. Live music will be provided by local bands One Pin Short (ska/reggae) and The Skooners (indie rock). Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

SpyOnVegas holds tonight’s open bar at Centrifuge inside the MGM Grand. Sip complimentary Amsterdam Gin and Prairie Organic Vodka from 6 pm-9 pm.

It’s Blues Monday at House of Blues with Willie J. Laws in the Courtyard at 9 pm. All ages are welcome and admission is free.

CatHouse celebrates Madame Mondays with free admission for locals and complimentary champagne for the ladies. Doors open at 10:30 pm and DJ Ikon provides the tunes.

OG gentlemen’s club is celebrating its 20th Anniversary (that’s ancient, by Vegas standards by the way) at Jet Nightclub inside the Mirage. They’re giving away $50,000 in lap dance cards and one lucky partier will be awarded a $100,000 OG bar tab.
