Free Stuff in Vegas Today - 01/24/09

Ra Sushi throws a Prom Night Party in celebration of their 4th Anniversary at the Forum Shops. Dust off that cheesy retro formal wear and enter the Throwback Prom Costume contest for your chance to be named Prom King or Queen and win a $50 RA gift card.

Las Vegas loves a food festival and the first one of the cheer takes place at MonteLago Village today from noon to 6 pm. The International Chili Society holds their Chili Cook-Off. Cooks will be judged on their best Red Chili, Chili Verde and salsa. It’s free to enjoy the sights, smells and sounds.  Tasting privileges will set you back just $3.

The 8th Annual Jewish Film Festival presents a free screening of  Nina Journey’s at the Adelson  School Performing Arts Center on Hillpointe Rd starting at 7 pm. The evening will be moderated by Ben Lesser. Admission is free but seating is limited.

McFadden’s at the Rio turns 1 year old tonight they’ll be celebrating with an open bar for all January birthday babies (21 and over) from 10 pm-midnight.

Trent Willman returns to the South Point Showroom. Show starts at midnight and admission is free.

The name says it all for tribute band Just Like Priest who plays the Railhead at Boulder Station with a free concert from 11 pm-1:30 am.

Cherry Nightclub at Red Rock Resort throws an Inauguration/Stimulus Saturday Party with Vestal merchandise giveaways and music by DJ Dig Dug.

Goodfellas wraps up their gig at Marilyn’s Lounge inside the Eastside Cannery with an evening of classic oldies. Show starts at 9 pm and admission is free.

The Palace Grand Lounge at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder welcomes back Take Two (4 pm-7 pm) and Randy Anderson (9 pm-2:30 am). No cover charge.

Addison’s Lounge at the Rampart Casino brings back In A Fect from 8 pm to midnight. Free admission.
